We are proud to be one of the few studios in our area offering lessons in Poi & Staff spinning along with Belly Dance & More with a highly experienced instructor. About the Instructor As a Middle Eastern dancer, Kirsten has been performing and teaching for over 20 years in Houston, Seattle, and New Orleans. She was a founding member of HABDA and the Nadira Nar Dance Troupe. Kirsten has had the pleasure to study with many national and international stars of Middle Eastern dance. Kirsten made her fire debut by appearing in the international release "Circles of Light 3" showcasing fire performers from around the world. She has made numerous teaching and performing appearances in Houston and Atlanta.

This is an amazing way to tone up and get into shape while learning to dance and move to any variety of music. Special focus is given to posture, regional styles and technique, isolations and movements of arms, hips, head and chest. Music of different genres will be used in class. This will enable you to dance to any type of music with confidence and find your own distinctive style. Some of the many moves you can look forward to learning are:
Continues by focusing on advanced techniques, combinations, music interpretation, and an introduction to veil, zills, sword and candles. Taking your your dance to the next level by incorporating Veil, Sword, & Candle.

Want to get your upper back, shoulders and arms toned? How about enthralling everyone around while practicing/playing in the park? Class will cover poi moves and transitions along with more advanced level combinations. You will learn the three foundation moves that ALL poi moves are built on and explore different families of movement and variations. You will be spinning after your first class! Builds on Poi 1 by focusing on advanced moves, transitions, and combinations while incorporating new dance moves and music interpretation. Will also workout with flags and conditioning poi. This class examines serious issues concerning fire artists and their performances. Fire classes are only offered to those who have demonstrated excellent proficiency in Poi 1 & 2. Fire is used during practice with an emphasis on the use of a 'Safety' partner and safety equipment. Care and creation of fire props is also covered.

Learn the foundation staff moves and transitions while incorporating dance moves and developing a personal style.. This class examines serious issues concerning fire artists and their performances. Notice of withdrawal must be received no later than 7 days prior to the first day of class. All Performance Art class are currently being taught off-site due to construction. Day and evening times are still available for private home lessons.
