Mud! Glorious Mud! These classes are for those who love to play in mud; who love to add...subtract...and add some more, who want to make the perfect cup for the perfect cup of tea.
About the Instructor Kirsten has always been involved in art from a very early age. She has had the very good fortune to study with many diverse talented professionals before, during, and after attending Sam Houston State University for a BA in Studio Art. During that time she also started her first business and sold her hand thrown pottery and art at the Texas Renaissance Festival. She has taught workshops for Girl Scouts at the Sam Houston Memorial Museum, classes at Waldemar, and in Houston

Clay & Pottery Classes ● Handbuilding Classes ●
This is not a another "pinch pot' class. You will have the opportunity to create the most fantastical objects that are impossible on the wheel. Construction techniques involving slabs, coils, and extruded shapes will be explored. Students will experiment with shapes and texture and glazing. Students will have the opportunity to make objects such as
Continues refining construction skills and work on more advanced projects. New glaze techniques are also introduced. Students must have taken and mastered Clay HB 1 for this class This self directed class is for students who wish to pursue their own projects. Students must have taken multiple sessions and mastered Clay HB 1 & 2. This class is strictly for hobbyists only
● Pottery Wheel Classes ●
Will focus on mastering basic throwing skills, finishing, and glazing. Students will work on projects such as pots, mugs, and bowls. Continues refining throwing skills and work on more advanced projects such as lidded jars and teapots. New glaze techniques are also introduced. Students must have taken and mastered Wheel 1 for this class This self directed class is for students who wish to pursue their own projects. Students must have taken multiple sessions and mastered Wheel 1 & 2. This class is strictly for hobbyists only.

Studio Schedule & Fees
Notice of withdrawal must be received no later than 7 days prior to the first day of class.
Private Pottery Wheel classes are strictly one-on-one.
